With this initiative, DKG Development reaffirms that Corporate Social Responsibility is not just a goal, but an integral part of our identity. In collaboration with the Piraeus Police Department and a specialized volunteer organization, we delivered a fully renovated, equipped, and ready-to-use shelter — a Safe House — designed specifically for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. Why This Project Matters
Greece is facing an increase in domestic violence cases, making safe shelters and support structures essential.
The delivered space has been designed with safety, privacy, and dignity in mind, fully equipped to meet the needs of its residents.
The Safe House will operate under the supervision of the Piraeus Police, with specialised professionals (psychosocial support, counselling) from the volunteer organisation, ensuring immediate assistance for those in need.
Corporate social responsibility is not a mere obligation for us, but a fundamental part of our identity. Supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening social cohesion is our priority,” said the company’s President & CEO, Konstantinos Petridis, during the handover ceremony.
Vision for the Future
With this project, DKG Development sets a new benchmark for how real estate companies can actively contribute to society. This initiative strengthens the support network for women and children, serves as an example for similar interventions, and encourages collaboration between the public, private, and social sectors.
We continue with determination to support more shelters, design prevention and awareness programs, and promote every initiative that fosters social cohesion and a sense of safety.
